You can also control the stopwatch functions of E and NE versions with an optional 496E dedicated switch panel or by external user-supplied voltage free contacts. The standard RC100 IR handset controls the stopwatch and countdown timer functions. Wharton 4000 series clocks have time digits freely switchable between the display of time-of-day and multifunction stopwatch or countdown time. We include an RC100 handset for remote time-setting, stopwatch control, operating mode and special function selection. You can select to show time only, alternating time and temperature (requires extra cost temperature sensor) or alternating time and date. You can choose daylight visible red, white or yellow/amber digits. The 12 or 24-hour clock face uses ultra-reliable, 220mm ( 8.7") high dot matrix characters for hours and minutes with 170mm ( 6.7") characters for seconds. These clocks will also operate as a multi-option stopwatch or as a programmable countdown timer. The range of case and mounting styles and operational options ensure that these clocks are suitable for many specialised applications. Typical applications include large public and commercial spaces, sports halls, factories and warehouses. The 4000x.220 commercial and industrial digital clock range are our largest digital clocks for indoor applications and are readable at a distance of up to 100m ( 300 ft).
